Wife of Man Utd goalkeeper, Onana, robbed of £62K Handbag and Rolex watch

Spouse of Manchester United goalkeeper, André Onana, was the victim of a high-value street robbery in one of the UK’s most affluent villages, MailOnline revealed.
Onana’s wife, Melanie Kamayou, a pharmacist, businesswoman and philanthropist, was reportedly targeted on March 29 in the picturesque village of Alderley Edge, often dubbed the “Knightsbridge of the North.”
According to sources, the incident took place in the car park of an Italian restaurant, where a thief snatched Kamayou’s Hermes Birkin handbag valued at £62,000 along with a Rolex watch. Hermes Birkin bags are considered among the most exclusive luxury accessories in the world, with some fetching prices in excess of £1 million.
The thief, Liam Ross, 25, from the Wibsey area of Bradford, has been charged in connection with the robbery. He appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday and faces additional charges related to the supply of cannabis. He is expected to appear before Chester Crown Court sometime in May this year.
Mrs Onana often shares glimpses of her glamorous lifestyle on social media, frequently posting photos with luxury handbags and her husband, Man-U goalkeeper and Cameroon international André.
The couple got married in 2023 and moved to the UK following Onana’s transfer from Inter Milan to Manchester United. They reportedly have a son together and now reside in Alderley Edge, a known hotspot for footballers seeking privacy and exclusivity.
Andre Onana, has made 92 appearances for Manchester United, including the most recent being in action during the team’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday 01 April 2025.
