Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, embroiled in backlash over the price of his Patek wristwatch.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu was spotted wearing a luxury Patek wristwatch during a recent meeting with Tunde Onakoya, the chess grandmaster who recently set a Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon.

According to reports, the watch is worth $61,280, approximately ₦94,170,316.80 at the official exchange rate.

However, this luxury item has sparked controversy amid Nigeria’s economic struggles, with many Nigerians questioning the timing and extravagance of such a purchase amidst widespread hardship and financial strain.

Reacting to this, Aghedo remarked, “President of the federal republic of Nigeria.Money when dey this country too long”.

Another user, Olasunkanmi stated, “Tinubu nor small before now.Money na water”.
