NSCDC intercepts armed man at church in Plateau

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Plateau State Command, has intercepted a man allegedly in possession of a firearm at a church premises in Bokkos Local Government Area. Sources told security analyst, Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 8:30 a.m on Sunday, April 20, 2025, when operatives of the NSCDC, acting on intelligence, apprehended the suspect during a routine security patrol around a church compound. “The suspect was found in possession of a gun and could not provide any satisfactory explanation or legal documentation for it. The swift action of our operatives helped prevent what could have escalated into a serious security breach, the source said. The identity of the suspect has not yet been disclosed, pending the conclusion of preliminary investigations.
