Ogun State Motunrayo Adeleye, has lauded the National Judicial Council for appointment of the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs. Adejumoke Adewole as a judge of the state high court.

Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Motunrayo Adeleye, has lauded the National Judicial Council for appointment of the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs. Adejumoke Adewole as a judge of the state high court.

Adeleye who said that the ministry received the news of the elevation of its Permanent Secretary, Mrs Adewole with so much excitement and sense of gratitude to the Almighty God, also lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for investing in the career growth of the women in the state.

The commissioner, in a statement on Saturday applauded the NJC “for identifying and acknowledging the unwavering dedication, sterling character, and track record of excellence of Adewole in public service.

“This I am sure is an affirmation of the NJC’s enduring commitment to integrity, merit, and the promotion of capable professionals into positions of national importance.”

Adeleye described the nomination of Mrs. Adewole as both “monumental and historic” for the Ministry and for women in public leadership roles.

According to the NJC’s official communique released after its 109th meeting held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Mrs. Adewole was one of three distinguished individuals selected to serve as High Court Judges in Ogun State.

The excited commissioner said, “The elevation of Mrs. Adewole to the Bench is a well-deserved recognition of her distinguished service, sterling administrative acumen, and unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and institutional development.

“Her character, brilliance, and tireless dedication to service have long set her apart, and we are elated that the qualities have now been formally acknowledged at the highest level of judicial consideration.”

Describing Adewole as a thoroughbred administrator, bridge-builder, and a shining light within the State Civil Service, Hon. Adeleye recounted her impactful role in repositioning the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.

“As Permanent Secretary, she has not only demonstrated an exceptional grasp of gender policy implementation and social development strategy but also ensured that inclusivity, professionalism, and accountability remained at the heart of our Ministry’s operations,” she added.

The commissioner further emphasized that the appointment sends a powerful message to women across the public service space, that dedication, integrity, and excellence do not go unnoticed.

She affirmed that the ministry takes great pride in this achievement, not only because Mrs. Adewole is a part of their team but because her journey reflects the best of what public service can offer.
