Actress Toyin Abraham has opened up about her first marriage and how her relationship with Kolawole Ajeyemi, her current fiancé, has brought her true love and happiness.

Nollywood star, Toyin Abraham has reflected on her past and present relationships, revealing why her first marriage to actor Adeniyi Johnson fell apart and how she later found fulfillment with her current husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi.

Speaking in a recent interview with media host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Toyin shared that her family strongly opposed her first marriage.

Despite their concerns, she went ahead with the relationship, which only lasted around two years.

“My family actually prayed and got signs that it wouldn’t work. But I didn’t listen. I went ahead.

She now speaks fondly of her union with Ajeyemi, describing it as built on love, deep respect, and spiritual alignment.

“In real life, he is very calm. He is a prayer warrior. Whenever I go to Abeokuta, he is always there.”

She explained that their connection developed gradually as they spent more time together on set, offering each other support through various life challenges.

Over time, their bond deepened, and they chose to keep the relationship private until it naturally evolved into something more serious.

“I didn’t want anyone to know at first, but I started getting fond of him. I’d tag along when he was going to work. Then we introduced ourselves to our families, I got pregnant, and marriage followed

I come from a Christian home, so my family prayed and God confirmed he was the one. Trust me, I married one of the best. I won’t say the best because there are other marriages I admire, like my godmother’s, but my husband is definitely one of the best.“
